The pop songstress, 34, shared her congratulations to one happy couple as she witnessed them getting engaged at her concert in Edinburgh, Scotland on Friday, June 7. In a video posted on Threads from the show, Swift smiled as she appeared to spot the couple having their moment in the crowd at Murrayfield Stadium while performing her song “Cardigan.” After finishing the song, Swift said to the audience, “I love performing this entire show in the sunlight, because I’m pretty sure I just, like, saw somebody getting engaged over here …” as the crowd cheered. She then asked the couple, “Did it happen?" and then said, "Yesss!” as she balled her fists in the air in excitement after it was apparently confirmed that the proposal had indeed taken place. “You have no idea, I never get to see that, right? Because it’s, like, dark usually at night,” she explained to the crowd. “But it’s not right now so congratulations. Wow, I just saw that whole thing! Uh, man, that’s amazing. Elsewhere during the show, the singer paused while performing "Would've, Could've, Should've" to ensure audience members who needed help. In a video posted on X (formerly Twitter), Swift interrupted the lyrics to say: "We need help right in front of me please, right in front of me," adding that she was going to carry on playing until the audience members in need of help were spotted, and pointing to where they were. "I'm just going to keep playing 'til somebody helps them," she said as she continued to play guitar, and chatting to the crowd about how she would not continue singing and would instead talk about the people who needed help. "Just let me know when, I could do this all night," she added, before confirming that the audience members were receiving help and were "good" and picking up the song again. Following her Edinburgh shows, she will next perform in Liverpool in England and Cardiff in Wales, then head to London for three shows on June 21, 22 and 23 before returning to the capital in August to perform five more dates.
