Charlize Theron

Charlize Theron is a South African-American actress and philanthropist. She first gained recognition in 1997 for her performance in the film Devil's Advocate alongside Keanu Reeves and Al Pacino. In 2004, Theron won an Academy Award for Best Actress in 2003's Monster. Theron's other famous films include Hancock (2008), Snow White and the Huntsman (2012), Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) and Bombshell (2019). In 2008, Theron announced she obtained U.S. citizenship. That same year, she became a Messenger of Peace for the United Nations. She is also known for her efforts in the fight against AIDS.
