Charlize Theron is getting glam for a cause.

The actress, producer and humanitarian, 48, gathered her famous friends to celebrate the 2024 Block Party for her nonprofit, the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project, on July 13 in Universal City, Calif.

On the night, Theron cut an elegant figure in a sleek black blazer with a black bralette underneath, which she teamed with a midi-length black shimmering skirt that featured a sheer section at the hemline. The actress completed the look with a pair of black and white slingback heels and simple jewelry comprised of several rings and earrings.

Her glam, meanwhile, was equally sleek. Theron wore her blond locks pulled back with a few tendrils loose on one side and get her makeup simple with a dash of pink blush and a slightly darker pink lipstick.

Earlier this week, Variety reported all that was expected to happen at the A-list party, including performances by Lainey Wilson and Tanner Adell and appearances by January Jones, Jason Reitman, Daisy Edgar-Jones, Brandon Perea and director Lee Isaac Chung, whose new film, Twisters, will be commemorated at the event, hosted at the Universal Studios Backlot. South African leaders, Neo Mohajane and Miché Williams, will also be highlighting CTAOP's impact on the health and safety of young people, per the outlet.

Theron, who created CTAOP in 2007, has been throwing the benefit annually for four years. In 2022, she famously debuted a daring brunette pixie mullet achieved by celebrity hairstylist Adir Abergel and celebrity colorist Tracey Cunningham

In 2019, the award-winning star and mom to daughters Jackson Theron, 11, and August Theron, 7, opened up to PEOPLE about why she does the work that she does.

It really is everything,” she said at the time. “You can see the effect that a little bit of work that we do here has for people who so desperately need it. That’s the thing that keeps me going because this work will break you down.”

CTAOP helps with AIDS education, prevention and support for those affected by the disease. The organization is primarily focused on South Africa, where the star was born and raised.

“We wanted to get young people to talk about the things they could take control of to save their own lives,” Theron said, adding that she wanted to create a safe space for this conversation to happen.
