Sydney Sweeney is a good neighbor — even when she’s not home.

While the Euphoria star, 27, was filming her new movie in North Carolina early on Monday, Oct. 14, she remotely helped law enforcement catch a burglar in her Los Angeles neighborhood, according to TMZ

Via doorbell cam, Sweeney’s home security system allegedly alerted her to a person sneaking around her property, prompting the actress to contact the authorities. Law enforcement sources told TMZ that the trespasser moved onto the home of Sweeney's neighbor, gained access to that home and fled with several goods.

Following the Anyone But You star’s tip, local police then apprehended the suspect and arrested them for burglary.

PEOPLE has confirmed with the LAPD that a suspect was taken into custody near Sweeney's L.A. home.

"Comments of the call stated there were possibly three suspects at the location," the LAPD told PEOPLE in a statement about the arrest. "Officers requested additional units for a building search and were able to take one suspect into custody without incident."

Sweeney is currently in North Carolina filming a biopic centered on pro boxer Christy Martin. On Wednesday, Oct. 16, she shared photos of herself to Instagram from the movie’s set, writing, "well the cats out of the bag thanks to some paps in bushes so here’s a little bts from my film im working on right now. over the past few months, i’ve been immersed in training to bring to life the story of an incredible woman—a true champion who fought battles both inside and outside the ring.”

Costarring Katy O'Brian and Ben Foster, the yet-to-be-titled biopic comes from director David Michôd, also a co-writer with Mirrah Foulkes. Along with playing the lead role, Sweeney is credited as a producer on the film.
