Diddy Asked 10-Year-Old Boy How ‘Badly He Wanted’ to Be a Star Before Sex Assault: Lawsuit

Sean "Diddy" Combs is accused of drugging and sexually assaulting a 10-year-old aspiring rapper, who claims in a new complaint that the Bad Boy Records founder asked him how “badly he wanted to be a star” before the alleged incident.

The lawsuit was filed under the identity “John Doe” on Monday, Oct. 28 in the Supreme Court of New York County, per the complaint, which was obtained by PEOPLE. The plaintiff, who is now an adult, alleged in his complaint that he met Combs, now 54, during an "audition" in 2005 when he was just 10 years old.

His parents flew him from Los Angeles to New York City for meetings and introductions "with numerous people within the music industry", including a sit-down with Combs, the complaint says.

The complaint alleges that Combs wanted to meet the boy in his hotel room and the child was dropped off by a consultant his parents had hired. Once there, the plaintiff alleges he performed several rap songs for Combs, who complimented his skills, according to the complaint.

He alleges that Combs said he could "make him a star" and asked him how "badly he wanted" it, per the complaint. He claims he responded to Combs that he would “do anything.”

The alleged victim alleges someone else in the hotel room gave him a soda and he began to feel "a little funny" after drinking it. He claims Combs or someone on Combs' staff laced the drink with drugs such as GHB and/or ecstasy, per the complaint.

The accuser claims that Combs then forced him to perform oral sex and threatened to harm his parents if he told anyone. He alleges Combs said words to the effect of “you have to do some stuff you don’t want to do sometimes,” per the complaint.

He also claims he "lost consciousness" and when he woke up crying his "anus and buttocks hurt badly" and his "pants were undone,” according to the complaint.

He adds he told his parents but they "were terrified of the potential consequences of reporting the abuse,” the complaint states.

Along with Combs, the complaint names Daddy's House Recordings Inc., Combs Global and Combs' Bad Boy companies.

The plaintiff is seeking compensatory and punitive damages to be determined at trial. They are among the many individuals represented by Buzbee Law Firm to have filed civil claims against Combs alleging sexual assault and abuse. At a press conference earlier in October, Houston-based attorney Tony Buzbee announced he was representing more than 100 people accusing Combs of wrongdoing.

Also on Oct. 28, a complaint was filed in the Supreme Court of New York County accusing Combs of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old male around 2008 while the teen was auditioning for the MTV reality competition series Making the Band.

Buzbee tells PEOPLE in a statement, "We will let the allegations in the filed complaints speak for themselves, and will work to see that justice is done. We will continue to file cases weekly naming Mr. Combs and others as defendants as we continue to gather evidence and prepare the filings."

Referencing the suits filed by Buzbee, Combs' attorney, Erica Wolff, previously wrote in a statement to PEOPLE, "As Mr. Combs’ legal team has emphasized, he cannot address every meritless allegation in what has become a reckless media circus. That said, Mr. Combs emphatically and categorically denies as false and defamatory any claim that he sexually abused anyone, including minors. He looks forward to proving his innocence and vindicating himself in court, where the truth will be established based on evidence, not speculation.”

The complaints come after Combs was charged in September with federal racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution. He pleaded not guilty and has been denied bail twice.

He is being held in Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center and is scheduled to go to trial on May 5, 2025.
