The proud mom, 77, shared a sweet message for Eva, an actress and lifestyle blogger, and her husband, chef Ian Hock, after the couple said “I do” in an intimate New York ceremony on Saturday, June 29. “I learned so much about love & partnership at the wedding of my daughter, Eva this weekend,” Sarandon wrote alongside a photo of the newlyweds in a July 1 Instagram post. (Eva shares three kids with ex Kyle Martino: Major, Marlowe Mae, 9, and Mateo Antoni, 4.) “She and her now husband, Ian invested a lot of thought and intention in every little detail, and incorporated the children: Marlowe, Major, & Mateo in the love bubble," the Oscar-winner wrote. The star also said she “heard what they treasure about each other” — and “how they hope to never take these qualities for granted” — noting that the couple’s “kindness, authenticity, and humor will be the cornerstone for their future.” “I love you two and all you want & care about,” Sarandon continued. “Eva, you were so radiant & beautiful. Thank you for inviting me into your lives. Keep dancing and laughing. Xx Mama.” Stars Who Were Parents of the Bride or Groom Eva, whom Sarandon shares with ex Franco Amurri, tied the knot with Hock in a “French garden party”-inspired ceremony at Windrift Hall in New York's Hudson Valley. Sarandon dressed on-theme in a custom floral suit, while Eva glowed in a strapless, corseted dress, which she described as “ultra feminine without being overly pouffy.” Susan Sarandon (left) with daughter Eva Amurri at her wedding. All we really needed was the beautiful atmosphere, our nearest and dearest, and a delicious party.” For their vows, the couple “wanted to write our own love letters to each other to read as vows, which was so special for us,” Eva said. “We also didn’t have any bridal party besides the kids, and it was perfect.” Eva also said that she “found it much easier to plan” this ceremony because she had “learned so much” from her first wedding. Plus, she added, “I know myself so well at this point in my life.” Never miss a story — sign up for PEOPLE's free daily newsletter to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from juicy celebrity news to compelling human interest stories. He loves me and takes care of me in a way that lets me step into my feminine energy and be the mom I want to be because I feel so supported.” “He’s always taking parenting things off my plate so I don’t feel too overwhelmed,” she said, adding that he is also the “best stepparent ever.” "Watching him with the kids the last four years has been incredible as well,” she said. “I also love laughing with him and being goofy. He’s my best friend, and there’s nothing better than doing life together.” Close
