Addison Rae's Student, a Giant Nerds Gummy, Nails the Flashdance Choreography in 2024 Super Bowl Commercial

"It was a proud mama moment," Rae tells PEOPLE of her Nerds 2024 Super Bowl commercial

Addison Rae's prodigy is ready.

In a teaser for Nerds's Super Bowl commercial, Rae was coaching a mystery student on dance moves for a performance set to Irene Cara's 1983 hit "Flashdance ... What a Feeling." Now their hard work has paid off and PEOPLE can reveal the full big game ad (above).

All along, the social media star was instructing a giant Nerds Gummy — a new character from the brand meant to be a larger-than-life-size version of their Nerds Gummy Clusters. In the 30-second commercial — which is expected to air in the second quarter of the Super Bowl on Feb. 11 — the red gummy takes the stage and nails the choreography from the 1983 movie Flashdance.

"It was a proud mama moment," Rae, 23, tells PEOPLE of her student. "I've always loved teaching, and I feel like this was just such a glimpse into the world of teaching someone and feeling so accomplished and proud of whenever someone can deliver."

At one point in the commercial, the gummy pulls a cord from above the stage and Nerds fall onto its body, completing it as a Nerds Gummy Cluster. A satisfied Rae is then seen on her couch snacking on the candy.

"They're so good. And so honestly, it's funny, because I'm watching [it] and then I'm eating [it]," she laughs to PEOPLE.

This is a first Super Bowl commercial for both Nerds and the pop star-actress.

"It's a dream project because not only is it my first big game spot, but it combines one of my favorite movies, songs, and favorite candies together," she says. "I feel like the luckiest girl in the world to be able to do this."

The Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers will face off in Super Bowl LVIII, airing on CBS on Feb. 11 at 6:30 p.m. ET.
