For more than 20 years, the supermodel and America's Got Talent judge has hosted her iconic N.Y.C. Halloween party — and dressed up in some incredible costumes along the way. “I always try to find things that people naturally wouldn’t do,” Klum, 51, told PEOPLE in 2023. “Most people do nurses or police officers, but I was always looking for something that I hadn’t seen.” She added, “My goal is to not let any of my Halloween fans down.” Here, look back on Klum's 20-plus years of Halloween costumes. 01 of 24 Heidi Klum's Halloween Costume in 2024: E.T. "I wanted to have a bunch of people and we all become one thing. And for me, in my mind, that one thing was the peacock." 03 of 24 Heidi Klum's Halloween Costume in 2022: Worm Stephen Lovekin/Shutterstock She's baaaack! Klum brought her annual bash back to New York City on Oct. 31, 2022, dressing as a worm in a crazy costume that took 10-plus hours to build around her. She was accompanied by husband Kaulitz as a fisherman with a bloody eye. 04 of 24 Heidi Klum's Halloween Costume in 2021: Zombie Mom Saul Appelbaum / The Pioneers Instead of her annual party (which she canceled for the second year because of the COVID-19 pandemic), the model dressed up for a short horror film that she debuted on Instagram on Oct. 29. Klum played a zombie mom who rose from the dead after being killed by her mummy and zombie children in the first installment of the movie, released in 2020 amid the ongoing pandemic. 05 of 24 Heidi Klum's Halloween Costume in 2019: Alien Zombie Creature Gotham/FilmMagic The pair had another couple's costume moment in 2019 when Klum dressed up as an alien zombie and husband Kaulitz was a bloodied astronaut who told PEOPLE he "was in space looking for a new planet for humans to live on" and "found" the creature (Klum) to "bring home." Klum got ready for the holiday in front of a live audience as she sat in the store window of an Amazon Prime bookstore in N.Y.C. 06 of 24 Heidi Klum's Halloween Costume in 2018: Princess Fiona Erik Pendzich/REX/Shutterstock Couples costume alert! For Halloween 2018, Klum teased that her costume would be "very, very cute." She arrived at her annual Halloween party at Moxy Times Square in N.Y.C. wearing her version of the werewolf from Michael Jackson's "Thriller" music video, which premiered in 1983. She even had an entourage of zombies! Klum began getting ready for the party six hours before it even started. "Michael Jackson was always such an icon, and the 'Thriller' video is such an iconic video, and I was like, 'I have to redo that,'" Klum said of her costume choice. 08 of 24 Heidi Klum's Halloween Costume in 2016: Clones Neilson Barnard/Getty Images for Heidi Klum It didn't take Klum long to get ready for her 2016 bash, considering she went as herself. However, she documented the transformation of her entourage of five Klum clones, including the look-alikes' hair, nails, lashes and boots. 09 of 24 Heidi Klum's Halloween Costume in 2015: Jessica Rabbit Andrew Toth/WireImage It took Klum nearly 10 hours to go from bare-faced to barely recognizable for her Svedka- and GSN's Hellevator-sponsored fete at N.Y.C.'s Lavo. The model teased the whole process on Instagram, from prosthetic fittings (that had many fans guessing she'd be Kim Kardashian) to the final makeup touches to become Jessica Rabbit. All that was missing was Roger, of course. 10 of 24 Heidi Klum's Halloween Costume in 2014: Butterfly Ilya S. Savenok/Getty Klum didn't disappoint as she transformed into a colorful insect for her annual bash (sponsored by Moto X and Svedka), where she proclaimed she's down with all things creepy crawly. "I have no problem with bugs and spiders or snakes and that kind of stuff. I like them," she said. Klum even gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at the costume in an Instagram video. 11 of 24 Heidi Klum's Halloween Costume in 2013: Old Lady Cindy Ord/Getty Are those varicose veins? "It took maybe three hours to put my face on and, like, 10 minutes to get dressed," Klum told PEOPLE of the Cleopatra costume she wore to her Haunted Holiday Party in New York City. "The guy that designed the face made little pieces and put them on, and in between, he had to fill in the gaps, so it took a very long time." 13 of 24 Heidi Klum's Halloween Costume in 2011: Cadaver Michael Tran/FilmMagic For her Oct. 29 celebration, the costume enthusiast arrived as a dead body, showing off every muscle and tendon.
