Jennifer Garner gets dinner time done — even if it isn’t in the most conventional way.

The Deadpool & Wolverine actress, 52, prides herself on being private, but on Tuesday, Sept. 3, she welcomed Architectural Digest into her cozy California home.

While showing off her residence, Garner took viewers inside her “treehouse” kitchen during part of the 11-minute video that accompanied the magazine’s exclusive.

“I’m so excited to show you my kitchen because, since the day I moved in, this is the first time ever that the counter’s been clean,” the Family Switch actress said with her massive island countertop on full display.

Stepping into the shot with outstretched arms, she added, “Look, it’s never gonna look like this again! Please memorialize this.”

Next, Garner shared her favorite feature that made the room unique: “I love a wood kitchen. So, the house really is like being inside a treehouse.”

According to AD, the breakfast area includes an unlacquered brass Garrison chandelier by The Urban Electric Co., which hangs above a Foley dining table from Lucca Antiques. The complementary chairs feature Rogers & Goffigon mohair. Additionally, the combined kitchen and breakfast room opens onto the pool area.

“Here alone, with my kids, on a weekend, I cannot tell you how often I make something and I’m just feeding them as it comes off the stove ‘cause I’m not very good at things coming out of the oven or off the stove at the same time,” Garner said.

The actress shares kids Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12, with her ex-husband Ben Affleck.

The 13 Going on 30 star said for family meals, it’s usually a “have your vegetables, now have your this, now have your that” type of situation.

“It’s all outta order, but they don’t seem to mind,” Garner said.

She also shared her thought process behind the design.

“So, I knew when I imagined my favorite kitchen ever, in my mind, that it would have an area dedicated to baking,” Garner said. “It just makes it so much easier to have it all in one place and to know where your different flours are and your chocolate chips.”

Though Garner’s floor plans were carefully mapped out prior to her moving in, the Alias alum noted that “chocolate chips are the most important thing in the whole house.”

"And I could tell you where they are,” she added.

Garner also has a fireplace in the kitchen that she said the family dog can often be found sleeping near.

“It just adds so much coziness, it’s unbelievable how nice it is to have a little bit of fire going in your kitchen.”
