The actress shared photos of a baked good that probably tasted better than it looked on her Instagram Stories on Sunday, July 7. The Alias star, 52, snapped pictures of a messy tray of blueberry muffins and wrote, "These blueberry muffins were made for the church potluck but are suffering from failure to thrive out of the muffin pan." The large tray was full of fragments of muffins left in each cup. Garner said that she had prepared the tray properly but admitted to her mistake. "Yes, I prepped my pan; no, I didn't wait for them to cool," she wrote, adding that they were "still delicious." Jennifer Garner snapped a picture of her misshapen muffins. The berry-filled baked good was not detailed in an episode of her "Pretend Cooking Show," but the mother of three has been busy cooking up other jokes and food in the kitchen. On June 2, Garner joined her mom, Patricia Ann "Pat" Garner, in the kitchen preparing a creamed corn recipe that her kids have dubbed "Grandmom Corn." In the Instagram video, the mother-daughter duo banter back and forth and playfully squabble over the dish. Pat uses just the tips of the kernels to ensure tenderness, while the 13 Going on 30 star cuts off whole kernels. "I make mine without sugar, and it seems to go down just fine, although, of course, my kids prefer when it is made by the queen herself. We love Grandmom," Jennifer said in the video. Jennifer and Pat Garner stopped by 'Today' on June 24. The Today Show Just a few weeks ago, on June 24, the Garners stopped by Today to give Hoda Kotb, Savannah Guthrie, and the rest of the crew a taste of their "Pretend Cooking Show." Pat, who made her Today debut, and Jennifer, who has been on the morning show "a million times," prepared "Barbara's Blackberry Cobbler" for Kotb, Guthrie, Craig Melvin, and Al Roker, with the help of Carson Daly. The Garners explained that Barbara, Jennifer's childhood best friend's mother, had shared the recipe with Pat many years ago, and it's still in her rotation. Close
