United Archives GmbH / Alamy Stock Photo Scary Movie Franchise Resurrected with Newly Announced Sequel: What We Know So Far Anna Faris and Regina Hall were breakout stars from the first Scary Movie, which poked fun at popular slashers like Scream plus The Blair Witch Project, The Sixth Sense and more. Paramount announced in April that it was developing a reboot for the series. Faris, 47, last showed up as the spoof franchise's ditzy-but-well-meaning Cindy Campbell in 2006's Scary Movie 4. And she admitted to PEOPLE with a laugh in July that it would take "money" for her to show up in another installment in the franchise. The actress added that she "would love to reprise" her role if it meant costar Hall, 53 — who played her character's best friend, Brenda — would also return. "I would love to work with Regina again. I just love her so much," said Faris. "We would make each other giggle all day long. Regina Hall would be my answer. And money. But mostly all Regina!" Close
