RHONY Star Brynn Whitfield Shares Her Favorite Products and Beauty MO: 'You Have to Go There' (Exclusive)

Real Housewives of New York City star Brynn Whitfield takes her beauty routine very seriously. 

In her mid-20s, the corporate communications and marketing consultant was entrenched in the beauty industry, which included working with dermatologists. It was then that she learned about the importance of wearing sunscreen — but she admits she didn’t become a regular user until she she was face-to-face with her own doctor. 

“I went in and they were like ‘Oh, you have this little line’ and I was like, ‘How?’ That’s when I started getting Botox and using sunscreen religiously.”

Now Whitfield is partnering with Fenty Skin to amplify the importance of protecting your skin. 

Since founder Rihanna launched the brand and expanded into skincare, her mission has always been “Beauty for All.” Earlier this year, the beauty entrepreneur broke the mold again with Hydra Vizor Huez, a mineral-based, broad spectrum SPF 30 tinted moisturizer in 10 flexible shades that cover the same wide range of skin tones as her award-winning makeup.

Whitfield, who’s a “massive” Rihanna fan, says, “when she launched the brand, the mission resonated with me. I have freckles and I'm biracial, so I could never really [find] makeup, but it supported everyone.” 

Because of Whitfield’s devotion to sun protection, this launch especially resonated with her. “I was like, ‘wait. I'm obsessed with this. I'm going to slide in this brand's DMs. I want to work with you guys.’"

Huez isn’t just another SPF, Whitfield says. “They created a product that is protective and gives you this healthy glow, and it's so much more than another sunscreen from another brand. They bar that should have been set from the beginning.”

While Whitfield is now a sunscreen devotee, and there are other products she loves, when it comes to beauty, she says it’s not about what you put on, but how you feel inside.

“At this stage of my life, beauty means, this is going to sound so cheesy, but, confidence. It's about something you just click on in your head. I'll be feeling a little insecure and then all of a sudden, I'm just like, ‘no, go there. Be Brynn,’ And immediately, people will be like, ‘Oh, you look so cute.’ When two minutes ago, no one was complimenting me on my outfit. The way that you hold yourself and what you emit, is real. You just have to mentally and in your heart go there, and all of a sudden, you can radiate throughout a room.”
