Ava Phillippe Recreates Iconic Matilda Scene for Halloween in Cute Video: 'Best Friends Don't Tell'

Reese Witherspoon’s daughter is Matilda ready!

On Saturday, Nov. 2, Ava Phillippe — whom Witherspoon, 48, shares with her ex Ryan Phillippe — posted an Instagram video of herself and pal Jaden Sanders recreating a scene from the classic 1996 film, Matilda.

“Thanks for not telling,” Sanders, mimed as she portrayed the character of Lavender from the movie, which details the wild school life of a young girl with telekinetic powers.

“Best friends don’t tell,” Ave, 25, who played Matilda, mimed back.

The duo then rested their heads together and smiled at the camera before the clip concluded.

“BEST FRIENDS DON'T TELL ♥️📚 #happynovember2nd,” Ava's caption read on Instagram.

Looking the part, Sanders wore dungarees, sunglasses and braids in a bun, while Ava was clothed in a jeans dress, a yellow T-shirt and a red bow headband.

Ava previously shared TikTok videos of her dressed up as Matilda, including a clip of her and Sanders dancing to reveal their costume.

"Me: 'Ugh I died my hair and now we can't be Cher and Dionne.' @Jaden Sanders: 'AP -I have an idea.' " she captioned the post.

In addition to Ava, Reese shares son Deacon Phillippe, 21, with Ryan, 50, as well as son Tennessee James Toth, 12, with her ex Jim Toth.

Ava and Deacon are also big sister and brother to Phillippe's 13-year-old daughter Kai, whom he shares with ex-girlfriend Alexis Knapp.

Last month, Witherspoon penned a sweet tribute to Deacon on his 21st birthday.

"Can't believe that this amazing young man is turning 21!!," she wrote. "Happy birthday, @deaconphillippe 🤍You came into my life to bring me joy, wisdom, and so much love 🥰 you light up my life with your beautiful spirit! I love you so much. 💙."

The actress also penned sweet messages for Ava and Tennessee on their birthdays in September.

“Happy 12th Birthday to my wonderful son, Tenn! 💙,” she wrote alongside a snap of the mother and son. “I'm so lucky to have your joyful, curious, hilarious spirit in my life making me laugh everyday. I love you, buddy 🥰.”

On Ava's 25th birthday, the proud mom wrote, "Happy Birthday to my amazing daughter @avaphillippe who happens to be one of the most genuinely kind-hearted and wise people I know. I love you with all heart 💓Keep shining your beautiful light my sweet girl! ✨."
