Joe Jonas Returns to Acting with Upcoming Korean War Film 'Devotion' : 'Let's Get It!'

The war movie marks the singer's dramatic big screen debut

Joe Jonas is getting back in front of the camera and heading to the big screen!

The "Sucker" singer has signed on to the cast of the Korean War drama Devotion, which is scheduled to begin shooting next month in Georgia, Deadline reported Tuesday.

Jonas will make his big screen debut alongside Glen Powell, Jonathan Majors, Thomas Sadoski, Nick Hargrove and female lead Christina Jackson. Daren Kagasoff and Spencer Neville have also been cast in the movie.

The film, which will be directed by J.D. Dillard with a script from Jake Crane and Jonathan A. Stewart, tells the true story of two U.S. Navy fighter pilots Jesse LeRoy Brown (Majors) and Tom Hudner (Powell) who come from different worlds.

The pair are initiated together into the VF-32 squadron and tasked with flying a new design of fighter jet, which later tests their friendship when one of them is shot down behind enemy lines, according to the film's synopsis.

Jonas, 31, will play Marty Goode, one of the members of the 32 squadron.

On Tuesday, the singer shared his excitement for the upcoming film on Instagram.

"Let's get it!! Can't wait to start filming ✈️ #Devotion," he wrote alongside a screenshot announcing the casting news.

His brother and Jonas Brothers bandmate, Nick Jonas, also expressed his elation in the comments, writing, "Let's get it! 🙌🏼"

Devotion, produced by Molly Smith, Thad Luckinbill and Trent Luckinbill via Black Label Media, will also mark the singer's dramatic film debut. He previously starred in the 2008 Disney Channel movie Camp Rock and guest starred in the TV series Angie Tribeca in 2016.

Jonas also starred on the Disney Channel series Jonas which followed the lives of the Jonas Brothers.
