Passport to the Past: A Bunch of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen Movies Are Coming to Hulu

Hulu has exciting news for those nostalgic for some 90’s-era movies!

According to TV Guide,the popular streaming service will bring back a few iconic Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen movies, so get ready to see double!

Starting May 1, Hulu users will be able to stream 1998’s Billboard Dad, as well two 1999 Olsen classics: Passport to Paris and Switching Goals.

In Billboard Dad the twins play matchmakers for their widowed father by putting up a personal ad on a billboard to help him find love.

And in Passport to Paris, the twins have their first foreign adventure, starring as two sisters visiting their diplomat grandfather in Paris where they fall for some French boys. Finally, in Switching Goals, they give viewers the classic twin-switch, swapping identities in the comedy about rival soccer teams.

The Olsen twins officially retired from acting in 2012, and have kept a rather low profile since, focusing on their fashion empire.

In an interview with WSJ. Magazine last year, they opened up about their relationship as twin sisters and business partners. They compared it to “marriage” saying it took years for them to learn how to effectively communicate with one another.

They also gave subtle insight into the reasoning behind their privacy — which manifests in their business approach, steering them away from being “product pushers.”

“I don’t know if it’s because of the way we grew up — we just don’t like talking about ourselves or talking about what we’re doing,” Ashley told WSJ. “It’s not really our approach.”

Although fans won’t be seeing them on-screen in any new movies or series — they also declined to join the Tanner family reunion on Netflix series Fuller House — they can enjoy a trip down memory lane starting May 1, on Hulu.
