A woman on the go simply doesn’t have time for uncomfortable, impractical shoes — which is why Meghan Markle has a solid rotation of fashionable flats.

Late last month, the Duchess of Sussex wore two different pairs of ballet flats on the same day, proving that the shoe has day-to-night versatility. First, she wore a black round-toed pair to a lunch date in Los Angeles, and later, she broke out a bit of bling and wore a metallic pair of the same style.

And recently, she has also reached for its sister styles: She wore classic two-toned beige and black slingback flats with straight-leg jeans while visiting la Barbecue in Austin, Texas, and during that same city visit, she attended a panel wearing white pointed-toe mules at the 2024 SXSW Conference and Festival

If flat shoes weren’t already on the comeback for spring, Meghan alone could pioneer the resurgence. To join her, shop similar styles below starting at $19.

Given the simple construction of a ballet flat, it’s fair to keep their budget low. This one comes in 16 colors, including a quilted pattern and Meghan-inspired metallics, and costs under $20, allowing you to stock up on a style for every occasion. The soft lining is in place to absorb sweat and insoles offer extra support. “These shoes are really cute and comfy for the price,” one shopper wrote, adding that they’re going to order more.

These two-toned sling-backs are nearly identical to Meghan’s Texas-trailing stompers. They’re easy to pull on (no fussy buckles!) and are made of water-resistant material. Aside from the classic beige and black color combo, they come in eight other shades, including gray, pink, and white. Reviewers say the quality is surprisingly solid, although some recommend ordering a half-size up. “These are incredible,” one shopper raved. “I would buy five pairs to back up just in case anything happens.”

You see this loafer-mule hybrid everywhere for a reason: The style is sophisticated, easy to slip on during the morning rush out the door, and looks good. Unlike other similar pairs, the outsole has some ribbing for traction and support — enough for secure daily wear, according to reviewers. “They are comfy and I get compliments on them just about every day,” one wrote. Plus, the gold buckle accent shines to more closely match Meghan’s pair.
