Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly had a “cozy” night out together over the weekend.

The pair was spotted at a Puppet Up! improv comedy show in Los Angeles, and a source tells PEOPLE that it “seemed like a date night.”

Fox, 37, and Kelly, 33, “sat in the back for the entire show and were cozy,” the source says of their outing.

The date night comes just days after a source close to the couple told PEOPLE the two had “another big fight” and were working through their issues.

“It’s always the same thing,” the insider said. “They have severe trust issues in the relationship. It's been rough, but [they're] still trying to work through it.”

Another source who knows the couple said at the time, “They're still on and off.”

While Fox and Kelly have had some ups and downs as of late — including Fox seemingly hinting at a breakup in February — the actress was eager to sing her fiancé's praises as she promoted her poetry book, Pretty Boys Are Poisonous, which released last month.

Fox thanked Kelly (whose real name is Colson Baker) for being supportive of the book, which details some of the trauma she experienced in past relationships and also reveals some previously unknown details about their relationship.

"I think it helps that he’s an artist himself and recognizes that he has this outlet where he gets to experience his catharsis through songwriting — where he gets to express his pain in that way,” she told Drew Barrymore of Kelly last month.

"As an actor, you don’t really have that because I’m reading someone else’s dialogue. So I don’t really get to go to work and put my experiences and my pain into my art," Fox continued. "So he recognized that I needed an outlet for that, and when you love someone, you’re not gonna deny them their right to experience a relief from their suffering."

She added of Kelly’s support, “And I think that’s just what it is to care about someone and to want to see them heal.”

Within the collection of poems, the Transformers star described a miscarriage, and she later clarified that she was referring to a miscarriage that she and Kelly experienced privately.

"I've never been through anything like that in my life. I have three kids, so it was very difficult for both of us and it sent us on a very wild journey together and separately...trying to navigate, 'What does this mean?' and 'Why did this happen?' " Fox said on Good Morning America.

The couple also stepped out together — with Fox rocking the fiery red bob she debuted amid the release of her poetry book — for a stylish date night last month as they attended the GQ Men of the Year Party in Los Angeles.

They held hands as they entered the star-studded event, which was honoring the outlet’s 2023 winners, Jacob Elordi, Travis Scott, Tom Ford and Kim Kardashian.
