While appearing on the Monday, Sept. 23 episode of Sherri to promote the fourth and final season of Power Book II: Ghosts, the R&B icon, 53, opened up about moving past divorce and finding new romance. "So excuse me when I say this, ‘The hell with them.’" Blige continued: "I don’t like that ugly, bitter feeling 'cause that’s not mine. That belongs to you. You did what you did. But I have to move on and in order for me to feel good and to manifest all the good things in my life, I have to let go for me. Not for you, this is not for you. Trust me, this is not for you, this is for me." After the "Family Affair" musician said she wants to "walk in that joy" and "newness," Shepherd, 57, asked if Blige if she was dating someone new. "You know already Sherri, everybody knows," Blige replied. "Yes." The "No More Drama" artist added that the relationship is "going well." "I feel good about me. I look good TO ME. I feel good to ME. And so, I’m embracing me. So when you embrace you, everything is embracing you. When you want you, everything wants you. Everything good," Blige said. She added that the relationship is going well "because I’m not holding anybody accountable about making me feel good for me." "If you are a Mary J. Blige fan, this is for you," she said. Blige is also set to release her new album Gratitude on Nov. 15. "Because that's where I am," she said of the album title. Last month, Blige opened up to PEOPLE about her forthcoming album, revealing it will reflect her singular approach to R&B. "Everybody that's out there, I don't look at what they're doing and do what they're doing," she said. "I do what Mary J. Blige does, and that's it." Close
