On the Wednesday, Sept. 25 episode of Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard and Monica Padman, the country star, 34, sat down to unpack her career throughout the years and open up about dating after her recent divorce from Ryan Hurd in January 2024. "I'm dating again – dating for the first time, truly," Morris said. "Yeah, a few times. It's kind of shocked me," the Grammy winner confessed. "And it makes me feel better too because there's such a vulnerability of being like, 'Here's the buffet of options today that I'm a part of.' It made me feel better knowing that this person was on there too." While it's unknown who she saw on the app due to its strict rules regarding screenshots and confidentiality to protect its users, Morris is focused on her healing journey post-divorce. On Aug. 2, Morris released Intermission, an EP that she described as "a break in the act." She previously announced that she would be departing from the country genre to experiment with pop music. The pair, who co-parent their son, recently reunited to boast about being parents of a "future Federer," in reference to the little one's apparent love for tennis and legend Roger Federer. Last month, Morris opened up to PEOPLE about navigating parenthood post-divorce. "I think [Hayes has] gone through a lot and there's I'm sure a lot of confusion because he's so little," she said.
