Love Is Blind's Jessica Feels the Pressure from Her Daughter Who Is Already Googling Wedding Outfits (Exclusive)

As the first single mom to be cast on the Netflix hit, Jessica says motherhood is "the most important thing to me" — but she also wants her pod connections to "get to know me individually first"

Love Is Blind's Jessica Vestal is ready to enter the pods!

In PEOPLE's exclusive First Look at season 6, Jessica opens up to co-hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey about her mindset as she becomes the first single mom to be casted on the Netflix series.

"I'm super nervous about how some of the guys are going to receive the fact that I have a child," she admits, noting that her daughter's name is Autumn.

"I just love her so much," the executive assistant, 29, adds of Autumn through her tears.

Vanessa, 43, then asks Jessica, "Do you think that's something that you're gonna wait to tell someone? Or you think you're gonna come out of the gate, you know, and be like, 'By the way, I have a kid.'"

Despite her endless love and pride for her 10-year-old daughter, Jessica admits that she doesn't want motherhood to "define" who she is as a person, especially as she meets potential new matches in the pods for the first time.

"I want to give people the chance to like, get to know me individually first because even though I'm a mother, and it's the most important thing to me, it doesn't define me," she tells Vanessa and Nick. "I feel like I'll just know when the time is right to tell somebody."

And though Jessica may feel some nerves going into the pods, Autumn couldn't be feeling any more different.

"She can't wait," the single mother admits. "Like, she's already been Googling her dress ... I'm like, 'Let me just go and meet somebody first!' Like, calm down."

Season 6 is set to premiere Wednesday on Netflix. Fans will get to watch 30 singles from Charlotte, North Carolina, experience the highs and lows of finding love sight unseen and, hopefully, finding their forever partner in the end.

Ahead of her journey in the pods, Jessica told Tudum she was looking for someone who has a "good sense of humor."

"One thing about me is I'm going to laugh, and so that means he’s going to be laughing all the time — whether it be with me or at me," she said.

But Jessica also has another clear requirement: her future husband must embrace Autumn.

"He would have to have the understanding that my daughter, and possibly even our future children, will always come first," Jessica said in a season 6 teaser video released in January, adding to Tudum that someone who doesn't accept her daughter “would be a total deal-breaker and a complete red flag because we’re a package deal."
