Photo: Good Morning America/Instagram Julianne Moore and Dennis Quaid had a surprise reunion over two decades after starring in Far From Heaven together. The pair played a 1950s husband and wife in the 2002 film directed by Todd Haynes. Moore, 62, was a guest on Good Morning America Wednesday to promote her new movie May December (another collaboration with director Haynes), and Quaid, 69, also made an appearance during the episode to perform from his album Fallen: A Gospel Record for Sinners. The former costars posed for a photo together, which was shared on the GMA social media accounts. Co-host Michael Strahan asked Moore during the broadcast, "We saw you earlier on our set with Dennis Quaid, your Far From Heaven costar. How did it feel to be reunited with him?" "We haven’t seen each other in years, and I was absolutely thrilled to see him. That was a long time ago. I was pregnant on that movie and my daughter’s now 21." Moviestore/Shutterstock Co-host Robin Roberts then asked, "Did you know [Quaid] could sing like he can?" to which Moore replied, "I didn’t know he recorded a gospel album! So I’m going to buy it." Far From Heaven scored four Oscar nominations, including a Best Actress nod for Moore. The cast also included Dennis Haysbert, Patricia Clarkson, Viola Davis and James Rebhorn. In a 2019 video for Yahoo Entertainment, Moore looked back at her career and recalled making Far From Heaven. Moore said at the time, "I love Dennis Quaid. We had a great time together. It was pretty great." She added, "I love Todd. I love him so much. We have a great working relationship, and I think just being with him every day, I was so happy every day going to work on that movie. Because it was such an incredible opportunity. There I was, playing a great character with a great director, at home — we shot it right outside of New York City — so it couldn't have been a better circumstance." Close
