After the game, Woods, 26, shared three photos of herself and Towns in a sweet moment after the win and wrote, "Western Conference Finals!!! Are you kidding me!?!? Couldn’t be happier for this team and most importantly Karl." "He has overcome so much adversity to get to the point in his career, let alone knee surgery earlier this season," she continued. In a fun video shared on X (formerly known as Twitter), Towns and his teammate, Anthony Edwards, joked about the Timberwolves' previously unsuccessful seasons during their postgame press conference. A reporter suggested to Towns and Edwards, 22, that "NBA history" says a team has to "lose big" before finding success as a unit. The Minnesota stars reminded him that they lost in the playoffs last season, and the season before, with Towns joking, "How much more we gotta lose?" Edwards quipped, "We’ve been losing the last 20 years!" Towns posted 23 points, 12 rebounds and two assists on Sunday, while Edwards had 16 points, eight rebounds and seven assists in the win. Towns said, "I've got an amazing woman at home so it makes those tough times not so tough," and revealed that the model has become a big basketball fan recently. "We have those talks, we watch game film with each other, we watch lots of basketball with each other, and we’re dissecting the game. And she’s becoming more of a basketball savant," he shared. "You know, with my mom and my sister, I’ve seen the impact that good women have on men’s lives, and I'm just blessed that I saw that firsthand before I got with Jordyn so that I could learn to appreciate her."
