In April 2023, they announced their separation. At the time, they also announced they were expecting their third child together. According to documents obtained by PEOPLE, the “Down Home” singer filed for divorce on April 28, 2023, with the news breaking the same day Allen was sued by his former manager for assault and sexual abuse — claims he has denied and recently settled. Alexis followed suit with her own divorce filing two hours later. Both cited irreconcilable differences. The next month, Allen issued Alexis a public apology, writing on social media that he was sorry "for humiliating her with my affair. I'm embarrassed that my choices have brought shame on her. That's something that she did not deserve at all." He then welcomed his twins with another woman during the summer of 2023. In the months since, however, it appears the two have split, with neither wearing their wedding bands any longer. Close
