Jenna Bush Hager's Son Hal, 4, Says He Dated — and 'Broke Up' with — Country Star Lainey Wilson

Jenna Bush Hager's 4-year-old son is a little heartbreaker.

On the Tuesday, July 23 episode of Today with Hoda & Jenna, the mom of three shared that her son Henry "Hal" Harold, 4, created a "whole story" of how he dated and broke up with country singer Lainey Wilson after she performed on Today in June.

“I introduced my kids to her,” Bush Hager told Hoda Kotb, adding that after attending the show with his sisters Mila, 11, and Poppy, 8, Hal whispered to his oldest sister, "She asked me to be her boyfriend, and now I’m her boyfriend.”

Mila, of course, didn't believe her little brother. “She was like, ‘Hal, I think you’re lying,’ ” Bush Hager recalled. But the 4-year-old insisted he was dating the 32-year-old star, saying, "No, she asked me out when I was on stage."

Bush Hager and her husband Henry made fun of their little one for his adorably imaginative story, until recently, when, "I heard him say the other day, ‘Well, I called and broke up with her,’ ” Bush Hager shared with a laugh.

“So Lainey, you have an admirer named Hal Hager, who created a whole story about how y'all once dated," she shared.

Earlier this month, Bush Hager shared another story about Hal's funny phrasing that made the news anchor feel "humiliated in my own home." On the July 1 episode of her show, Bush Hager revealed that her son watches her get ready in the morning and has an interesting name for one of her body parts — which Bush Hager isn't so sure she likes.

"Recently while I’m getting dressed — if I do makeup, hair, outfit — which is what I like, Hal likes to come in there and say, ‘Look at your nickels. I like your nickels,' " Bush Hager shared. "Now he’s talking about something else… it’s nipples. But he said, ‘Look at your big nickels.’ And then I feel a little humiliated in my own home."

"Do you care about walking around naked with your kids around?" Kotb asked.

"No I don’t," Bush Hager responded. "But not in a gross way."

"I’m not saying it’s gross, why are you getting offended?" Kotb asked her longtime friend.

"I’m just saying. But also, I’m not walking around. I’m in the privacy of my own bathroom," Bush Hager clarified, with Kotb noting that she's getting from "Point A to Point B."

"He walks in and he makes fun of my ‘nickels,’ pointing and laughing in such and talking about their size," Bush Hager explained. "And then I have to get on a robe, which makes me hotter. But he’s started to shame me into outfit, hair, makeup."
