Jamie Lynn Spears returned for the Dancing With the Stars finale. Her appearance on the reality competition follows the news of her dad's serious medical condition.

Jamie Spears, 71, father of the reality star, 32, and older sister Britney Spears, 42, had to have his leg amputated about a month ago, multiple sources confirmed to PEOPLE on Tuesday.

The controversial Spears patriarch reportedly spent weeks in the hospital for a bacterial infection in one of his legs, sources shared, though a representative for Jamie has not responded to PEOPLE's request for comment.

Not yet addressing her father's condition, Jamie Lynn posted some behind-the-scenes snaps on Instagram later that day, showcasing celebratory moments from the season 32 finale. She and dance pro Alan Bersten had been eliminated on week 2 of the competition.

In the carousel's featured photo, Spears wore a sparkly gold fringe number as she posed with a couple of bouquets and a copy of fellow DWTS contestant Ariana Madix's book, Single AF Cocktails.

She also included shots with Bersten and former Mirrorball champ Hannah Brown. Jamie Lynn also included a shot with DWTS alum Mark Ballas.

"Season 33, I'm coming for ya," the actress said in a video clip while posing in the mirror.

Ahead of Jamie Lynn's DWTS appearance, she was a contestant on the U.K. reality series, I'm a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here. She left the season on Nov. 29, according to ITV. The show, which Jamie Lynn publicly had a tough time on, was being filmed in Australia.

"Jamie Lynn Spears has left on medical grounds," a spokesperson for the network said in a statement. "She's been a fantastic campmate who has triumphed at trials and bonded well with her fellow celebrities."

The Zoey 101 star had openly struggled with homesickness while filming the show, which premiered on ITV on Nov. 19. Specifically, she got emotional about being away from her daughtersMaddie, 15, and Ivey, 5.

Spears had announced on her Instagram Stories that she was "medically cleared" to return to Dancing With the Stars straight from Australia, Entertainment Weekly reported.

After her elimination last month, the mom of two had thanked fans for their support. “This was an amazing experience, and I’m very happy to have been apart of it, and soooo excited to see all the fabulous contestants and their partners continue to KILL it each week!!!!!”

Adding a special note for her partner, she wrote, “Alan, you’re the absolute best friend and partner that anyone could ever ask for.”
