People Editorial Guidelines Updated on January 8, 2024 12:58PM EST Alan Ruck returned to the red carpet for Sunday’s 2024 Golden Globes, walking with a cane two months after getting into a car accident. He attended the awards show with wife Mireille Enos and wore an emerald green, double breasted peak lapel tuxedo and a matching poplin shirt from Berluti. On Oct. 31, Ruck, 67, was involved in a four-vehicle collision in Hollywood that resulted in his truck crashing into a pizzeria. One of the drivers involved in the crash, Horacio Vela, has since sued Ruck, claiming negligence and seeking unspecified monetary damages stemming from the accident that occurred at the intersection of N. La Brea Ave and Hollywood Blvd. at approximately 9:01 p.m. local time. Kevin Mazur/Getty The complaint, obtained by PEOPLE, asserts Vela was operating his 2020 Hyundai Elantra at the intersection "patiently waiting at the red traffic signal" when Ruck, positioned behind Vela's Elantra, "abruptly and forcefully" accelerated his 2023 Rivian R1T, colliding with the Elantra's right rear bumper. The force of the impact propelled Vela's car forward into the intersection where it collided with another vehicle, while Ruck allegedly "continued driving at a high rate of speed" and made a right turn onto Hollywood Blvd. Theo Wargo/Getty Vela was later transported by ambulance to Cedar Sinai Medical Center to treat "severe injuries," the complaint states. His Elantra also sustained "significant damage" and was deemed a "total loss," requiring it be towed from the scene. 2024 Golden Globe Awards: See the Full List of Winners Ruck received a nomination in the best performance by a male actor in a supporting actor on TV category for his role as Connor Roy in Succession.
