Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney are ready to make a follow-up to Anyone But You!

On the 2024 SAG Awards red carpet on Saturday, Powell, 35, told Variety that both he and Sweeney, 26, are reading scripts to find a new movie to make together after their romantic comedy Anyone But You proved a box office success following its December release.

“When you find somebody that you really jive with, Sydney is so easy to work with and so fun. We’re definitely trying to find the next thing. Please send us all the scripts you got," Powell told the outlet. "You know we’re here for it."

"It’s been really wonderful to read a lot. Sydney reads everything, by the way, and in record time," he added. "She’s the fastest reader I think I’ve ever met. It takes me a little longer, but we’re reading everything and just trying to see what makes sense, what we can turn into something that audiences are going to respond to.”

Powell and Sydney played enemies-turned-lovers at a wedding in Anyone But You and have remained highly complimentary of each other since filming the movie in Australia in spring 2023. While the film opened to just $6 million at the domestic box office in December, it has since gone on to gross $87 million in the U.S. and has made $191.2 million worldwide.

The pair recently made an appearance together at the 2024 People’s Choice Awards, where they sang Natasha Bedingfield's song "Unwritten" — which appears in Anyone But You — with Bedingield, 42, onstage.

Anyone But You was nominated for the comedy movie of the year (Barbie won), and both Sweeney and Powell were recognized in the the comedy movie star of the year category (Jennifer Lawrence won for No Hard Feelings) at that ceremony.

“[I] met with Lee Isaac Chung and met with Daisy Edgar-Jones and had a great chemistry with Daisy and she’s sensational and we just have such a great vibe in this movie,” Powell told Variety of Twisters — a spiritual sequel to 1996's Twister — ahead of the SAG Awards. “The movie, just the texture of it, the fun of it, the world, it’s going to be a ride. It’s really good. It’s nuts.”
