Flavor Flav is such a big Taylor Swift fan that he’s declared himself “King Swiftie!”

The Public Enemy member, 64, opened up about his love for the pop superstar, 34, in a new interview with HOT 97’s Ebro in the Morning. On the radio show, the rap legend not only shared his favorite song by Swift but explained why his appreciation for her songwriting runs deep.

The Flavor of Love star first mentioned Swift in the interview when talking about attending Sunday’s Golden Globe Awards, where the pop star’s concert film was nominated for the cinematic and box office achievement award. “Yes, I am a Swiftie,” Flavor Flav said. “Not only that, but I got a new name now: King Swiftie.”

As for the track from the "Karma" singer's discography that King Swiftie can't get enough of? “My favorite record that she wrote is ‘Bad Blood’,” Flav revealed.

Although he said he enjoys the remix featuring Kendrick Lamar, Flav admitted that he especially loves the solo version. “I mean, that’s [about] everybody’s relationships, or everybody’s families, or everybody’s friendships, it’s like, you know, ‘I used to be good friends, now you did something to me, now we got bad blood, look what you’ve done!'” he explained enthusiastically.

The musician/TV personality also told hosts Ebro Darden, Peter Rosenberg and Laura Stylez that he got into the Midnights artist after he took his girlfriend and her children to the Eras Tour in Detroit, Michigan in June. “I went home, really, and I started listening to Taylor,” he said. “I’m listening to her music, and I’m like, ‘Yo, this girl is dope!”

Flav shared that he was particularly struck by how much her songwriting reminded him of fellow musician Mary J. Blige. “She’s writing a lot about her, you know, experiences that she goes through in life. Just like Mary J. Blige — you know what I’m saying?” he said. “Mary writes about her experiences that she goes through in life, then when she gets up there on that stage, and she sings those songs, mostly every single woman in that audience relates to Mary.”

The “Fight the Power” rapper’s recent radio interview is hardly the first time he’s revealed how much of a Swiftie he is. After attending the Detroit stop of the singer-songwriter’s career-spanning tour, he saw the show a second time in Los Angeles at SoFi Stadium.

He even wore official merchandise from the "Cruel Summer" artist at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in November. At the event, he rocked the 1989 (Taylor’s Version)-themed cardigan and explained to PEOPLE in a red carpet interview why he considers himself such a “huge fan” of hers.

“I went to two of her shows. I think they were phenomenal and the whole nine for her," Flav shared. "To be able to do all of those songs within three hours, oh my God. I ain't gonna lie, but it's an action-packed concert."

He added that he’s always impressed by how "every lyric that she spits out relates to life."

"That's why I support her," Flav continued. "Because she's real. She keeps it real with her fans, and she's real with her music."
