Eva Mendes 'Never Considered' Herself Beautiful but Says Ryan Gosling Makes Her Feel Sexy

Ryan Gosling makes Eva Mendes feel sexy in a simple, but sweet way.

In a Thursday, Oct. 17 interview with the UK newspaper The Times to discuss her role as the face of Stella McCartney’s winter 2024 campaign, the Hitch actress, entrepreneur and children's book author spoke about how her longtime partner Gosling, 43, boosts her sensuality.

“I feel really f------ sexy at times,” Mendes, 50, said. “The way my man looks at me is just … at times I’m like, oh my God. That might not sit well with people, but so much of how I feel is a reflection of what he’s giving me.”

She added: "There’s so many things that can make me feel sexy and I’d say that I feel more sexy than not. I guess because I’ve never considered myself beautiful, but I’ve always felt very sexy.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Mendes told the publication that she was "never in love with acting."

"I don’t mean this in a self-deprecating way, but I wasn’t a great actress. I had my moments when I worked with really great people,” she said.

She also noted that she was most proud of the movie she worked on with Gosling — The Place Beyond the Pines. “He gets something out of me that’s never been accessible before.”

The couple met before filming The Place Beyond The Pines in 2011, and began dating after the movie wrapped. They share daughters Esmeralda, 10, and Amada, 8.

In May, Mendes told PEOPLE how Gosling has supported her through the years. Though she wouldn't get into specifics, she did confirm that he champions her.

"I'm not going to tell you that but in all the ways I need to be supported," she said in May, before adding, "He's got me in all the ways."

The feeling is mutual. Also in May, Gosling told Extra that the mother of his children is his biggest champion when it comes to his acting career.

"She is with the girls, and when she works, I stay home with the girls too," Gosling told the outlet. "I couldn’t be here without her."

"She’s also like my acting coach," the Barbie actor added. "She has really become the best acting coach I have ever had, it's endless how she helps me.”
