On Monday, Oct. 28, the Wizards of Waverly Place alum, 35 was joined by his wife Maria Cahill, 32, and their three kids — Pia, 4, James, 3, and Gemma, 2 — as they posed on the red carpet for the premiere of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place. The new Disney series is a reboot of the beloved original, which stars Henrie and Selena Gomez, 32, as wizard siblings Justin and Alex Russo. In the adorable Henrie family photo from the Los Angeles event, fans couldn't help but notice Pia's pink, patterned purse — an old-school Wizards of Waverly Place piece of merchandise featuring Gomez as Alex Russo. Cahill sported a satin maxi dress as she held up Gemma for the cameras. Henrie stood beside her with his hand on James' shoulder in a navy blue suit. While chatting with PEOPLE last year, the proud dad of three opened up about the magic of his family's holiday season, which includes teaching his kids the joy of giving back. "We will do this thing where, from usually just after Thanksgiving, we have nothing on the tree. So, the tree will be empty and the kids can fill up the tree by doing good acts," the actor explained. If they have good behavior or they do good acts, then we'll reward them with an ornament and then they get to pick where the ornament goes on tree." Henrie shared that he packed a box with his older daughter and son, hand-delivering the toys on a recent trip to the Dominican Republic. "They got to see children who would never have been given a gift," Henrie said. "My children got to witness their present going to this person. It provoked all sorts of wonderful conversations about giving, about helping those in need about what poverty is. That we have a responsibility and what our responsibility is to help those in need." "My daughter all the time asks now, she's only 4, so she asked about the girl with no presents. 'How is the girl with no presents? Where is she? Where is her mama? Is she okay?' It just was a really healthy conversation to have with our kids," he added. Close
