Nearly two months after revealing they'll star in the upcoming limited series Fixer Upper: The Lakehouse (premiering June 2), the Magnolia Network founders shared on Wednesday that three previously announced reality competition shows will premiere this fall on Max. According to a press release, the new shows feature "ambitious large-scale competitions" and "out-of-the-box social experiments," marking a departure from the HGTV alums' current lifestyle-focused lineup. Courtesy of Magnolia Network In Second Chance Stage, an eight-episode talent competition series, contestants who missed out on an earlier chance at stardom get a "second chance at their big break" by performing everything from "dancing to singing to stand-up comedy and more" in front of an audience full of agents, talent scouts and producers. The show features Martina McBride, Taye Diggs, and Heidi Gardner as judges and a $100,000 cash prize. The Gaineses' friend and former NFL star Emmanuel Acho serves as the host. The last — and most surprising — of the three shows is Human vs. Hamster, described as "a cheeky eight-episode competition series where the world’s most remarkable pet hamsters go toe-to-toe with teams of humans in scaled challenges." The team that wins the most challenges against the hamsters moves on to an obstacle course where they must escape before the hamsters to win.
