On Tuesday, the HGTV stars announced Fixer Upper: The Lakehouse, a special limited series to mark the tenth anniversary of Fixer Upper, The six episodes will follow Chip, 49, and Joanna, 45, as they do what they do best — but with a summery, outdoorsy twist! Chip Gaines Opens Up About Being 'Burned Out' and 'Exhausted' as Early as Season 3 of 'Fixer Upper' The couple will be tackling their next big renovation project, a mid-century modern lake house near Lake Waco in Texas. According to a press release, the series, fans will “follow the full transformation of the property throughout the season as Chip and Joanna go above and beyond with surprising interior designs and unique outdoor installations never before seen on Fixer Upper." Hey, Chip? Chip, we gotta demo!” she calls out as she walks throughout the home. “I hope he’s not messing with me…” Joanna then goes outside to search for him, and utters one more exasperated “Chip,” after finding the star lounging in an inner tube in the lake. Chip, clad in overalls and work boots — and a huge smudge of sunscreen on his nose — has nothing to say, simply smiling and waving at Joanna before floating off-screen. Joanna and Chip Gaines. Reflecting on 10 years of Fixer Upper in a statement, Chip and Joanna said, “When Fixer Upper premiered ten years ago, we couldn’t have imagined the journey we had ahead of us.” “Though a lot has changed and evolved in the decade between then and now, our love for home is still at the heart of everything we do,” they continued. “We feel honored that we get to continue pouring into the stories of these homes across Waco.” The couple’s latest series comes on the heels of several other Fixer Upper spin-offs, including 2022’s Fixer Upper: The Castle and, more recently, Fixer Upper: The Hotel. Fixer Upper: The Lakehouse will premiere on the Magnolia Network and HGTV on June 2, with its six episodes airing two at a time across three weeks.
