Amid his rumored romance with Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce has won the support of his teammates’ wives.

A source tells PEOPLE that Chiefs players’ wives are among those who are cheering on the relationship.

“The players' wives are happy for Travis and hope it continues to go well,” the source tells PEOPLE.

The source added that, while Kelce, 33, is “keeping all this private even within the team to respect Taylor,” he also has his fellow players’ backing.

“Everyone on the team seems to be super supportive,” the source says.

In the days after Swift, 33, attended Kelce’s game at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, the tight end spoke out about the buzz surrounding her appearance — and the resulting attention he received — on his podcast and on social media.

"I’m enjoying life and I sure as hell enjoyed this weekend," Kelce said on New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce Presented by Wave Sports + Entertainment earlier this week.

"Shout out to Taylor for pulling up. That was pretty ballsy," Travis admitted before adding, "I just thought it was awesome how everybody in the suite had nothing but great things to say about her — the friends and family. She looked amazing and everybody was talking about her in great light."

He continued, "To see the slow motion chest bumps, to see the high fives with Mom, to see how, you know, Chiefs kingdom was all excited that she was there — that s--- was absolutely hysterical and it was definitely a game I’ll remember, that’s for damn sure."

After 24.3 million people watched the game, sales of Kelce's jersey soared 400% and ticket prices to Chiefs games, including this weekend's matchup against the New York Jets, are continuing to climb.

Through it all, Kelce has remained steadfast in his own support of the potential relationship.

On Thursday, the football star responded to Mark Cuban’s seemingly playful comments on ESPN's First Take that Swift should break up with him so that she might bring some attention to his Dallas Mavericks team.

"Taylor...sorry if you're listening Travis. Break up with him, I got a bunch of good-looking single guys that play for the Dallas Mavericks. I got you," Cuban, 65, said.

Kelce made sure to respond to Cuban’s comments on  X (formerly Twitter).

"Just sign me to a 10 day," Kelce wrote in a post, teasing the Shark Tank investor by suggesting he could then play for the Mavericks on a limited contract.
