Daddy Yankee Celebrates 23rd Wedding Anniversary with Romantic Instagram Post

Daddy Yankee celebrated 23 years of love with his wife Mireddys González with a sweet Instagram message for his “female boss,” as he calls the mother of his kids. The reggaeton star showed his romantic side with a photo he shared on March 25 of what appears to be a private jet filled with balloons and gorgeous flower arrangements for his wife. “Because a jefe (male boss) need a good jefa (female boss),” his caption reads. “With God’s blessing, anniversary #23.”

This was a rare and unexpected move for the “Dura” singer, who keeps his family life ultra private. Fans lit up the singer’s Instagram account with well wishes. “When love is built on respect it lasts forever. Congratulations!” one wrote.””May you enjoy many more years with your beautiful wife. Many blessings,” another added.

González also posted a loving message to her famous husband on Instagram. The stunning redhead shared a snap of herself smelling a bouquet of flowers with the message: ‘Thank you my love, 23 and counting. Love you. Who says it’s not possible? #Celebrating #Anniversary23 #LoveYou #GodisGood.”

She also shared a photo collage of herself in the private jet surrounded by balloons and flowers and two glasses with chilled champagne on ice next to them. “Made with love,” she titled the image.

The couple, who were high school sweethearts and married in 1994, rarely post photos together and keep their love life out of the press. González, however, made an exception when she posted a beautiful photo of the two hiding their faces under black scarves and hoodies on a snowy day in Canada last February.

Gonzalez, while usually quiet about about their personal life, often trumpets her husband’s many achievements across social media. The singer has said his wife’s unconditional support through the years has been key to his success. “My family is the most important,” he told People en Español. “In order to be successful you first have to have a successful personal life.”

The inseparable duo, who are parents to Jesaaelys, 21, and Jeremy, 19 — Yankee also has daughter Yamilet, 24, from a previous relationship — began dating before the artist was famous, but fame hasn’t distracted him from what’s most important: “I am not a man of many vices. I’ve always been clear about my one weakness and that’s women,” the singer told People en Español. “Once I made the decision to get married, I knew that everything would change. I have a responsibility with my wife and I want to keep it for the rest of my life.”
