Seth Meyers Marries Alexi Ashe

No laughs about it – Seth Meyers is a married man.

The Saturday Night Live star, 39, wed longtime gal pal, human rights lawyer Alexi Ashe, on Sunday in Martha’s Vineyard in an intimate-sized ceremony, his rep confirms to PEOPLE.

“They are so in love and really excited for their big day,” a source says. “They [were] really happy to celebrate their big day with all their close friends and family.”

Guests included Andy Samberg, Ali Larter, Olivia Munn, Jason Sudeikis, Allison Williams, Kristen Wiig, Lorne Michaels, Amy Poehler, Fred Armisen, Will Forte, Taran Killam, Rashida Jones, Tony Shaloub, Nick Kroll and Bill Hader.

Meyers, whose engagement was announced just last month, described his cute proposal a few weeks ago.

“I tied [the ring] in a bow around our dog’s collar,” he said, adding that Ashe came home later than expected, which caused him to watch his pet with concern. “I just had to sit there looking at the dog. I was like, ‘The dog’s going to eat the ring!’ ”

Meyers – who confessed to getting “a little” teary-eyed when the woman of his dreams accepted his proposal – gushed about her “excellent taste” when it has come to wedding planning.
