Lea Michele Steps Out In Beverly Hills

Weeks after boyfriend Cory Monteith died on July 13 due to a lethal mix of of heroin and alcohol, Lea Michele stepped out on Saturday.

The Glee star, 26, was pictured with pal JoAnna Garcéa Swisher at the Thompson Hotel, where Garcéa Swisher attended expectant Jamie-Lynn Sigler‘s baby shower along with Lance Bass, Beverley Mitchell and 20th Century Fox executive Stephanie Herman.

Wearing a white lace dress, sunglasses and heels, the appearance – thought to be her first event since the tragic news – comes less than a week after she broke her silence on Twitter, writing, “Cory will forever be in my heart.”

Next week, it’s back to work for Michele and her costars, who will resume production on the hit series.

Monteith’s character, Finn Hudson, will be written out of the show in the series’ third episode, which will “deal directly with the incidents involved in Cory’s passing and the drug abuse in particular,” Fox’s Chairman of Entertainment, Kevin Reilly, said Thursday during a Television Critics Association panel in Los Angeles.
