It's the Irwins star, 25, uploaded a heartwarming clip to Instagram on Thursday of her late dad tending to the Australia Zoo — as he appeared to break up a fight between two feisty kookaburras! "This #flashback makes my heart happy," the nature conservationist captioned the video. "Dad’s kindness and love for all species will live on forever." Bindi Irwin Says Baby Grace Is 'Captivated' by Videos of the Late Steve Irwin: 'Utter Fascination' During the throwback clip, the Crocodile Hunter star biked up to a pair of kookaburras and helped separate the two opposing birds. After asking what was "going on" between then, Steve declared that a "kookaburra fight" was underway before grabbing both birds, holding them next to each other and asking for peace at his zoo. "Now stop it. You guys need to make up. You be friends now," Steve said as the kookaburras grabbed each other by the beaks. The video then panned to a shot of Steve making kookaburra noises in an attempt to deescalate the situation, though he eventually separated the two animals entirely. "Crikey," Steve said, before taking off again on his bike. "Day's work involves putting out fires, stopping fires, playing with the gators, koalas, kangaroos." Steve's wife Terri commented under her daughter's touching post, too, writing that the clip marked "such a special moment." "Steve loved every animal @australiazoo," she wrote of her husband, who died in 2006 at age 44. Newspix/Getty Images The Irwin family has grown over the years, as back in August, Bindi spoke with PEOPLE about her 2-year-old daughter Grace Warrior, whom she welcomed in 2021 with husband Chandler Powell, 25. The nature conservationist, who also opened up about her struggles with endometriosis, explained that she and Powell " feel so lucky to have Grace." "I think that every day I wake up and I look at our beautiful daughter and think she is our tiny little miracle and it makes me cry because we were very, very lucky to have her," she said, after sharing that being asked about having more children can be hurtful to some. "And there was every chance that we wouldn't have been able to have a little one, so to have our beautiful girl, we are so lucky," she added. "And I wish more people would pause before asking, 'Why aren't you having more children?'" Lately, Bindi has also been raving about her younger brother Robert Irwin's "gorgeous girlfriend" Rorie Buckey, whom she applauded in an Instagram caption this month. The pair were first photographed together in Australia back in November and have since made their red carpet debut in July at the Australian premiere of Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One. "Sweetest soul, beautiful friend, I love her dearly and you’ll usually see Grace just following her around because she adores her," Bindi wrote. Close
