On Sunday, Nov. 10, Bindi, 26, and her husband Chandler Powell shared a behind-the-scenes look at Powell introducing their 3-year-old daughter Grace Warrior to a baby greater glider — a tiny marsupial found in eastern Australia. In the clip, shared on Instagram by the proud parents, Powell, 27, can be seen carrying his daughter into a room at the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital, where he let her meet the mini marsupial. "Check out the greater glider," Powell said to his daughter, while opening up a pouch containing the baby animal, before Grace declared the greater glider "so cute." "She's a little baby," her dad confirmed. "How sweet is that?" The greater glider could then be seen poking her head out of the pouch, as Grace accurately pointed out the animal's "little, pink nose." After Powell described to his daughter how the critters live in pouches as babies, he asked Grace if she could think of any other animals who reside in pouches. "Koala," Grace responded, before pausing to think a little longer as her dad mentioned "baby wombats." Then, on her own, she brought up "baby kangaroos." Powell also told Grace all about the "little webbing" that helps the species glide "from tree to tree." "Sharing a greater glider with our sweet daughter, Grace, at the #AustraliaZooWildlifeHospital 💚," the couple captioned the clip. Greater gliders, per the Australian Conservation Foundation, were added to Australia's list of endangered wildlife in July 2022, with their populations declining 80 percent in 20 years. Tree clearing, forest destruction, bushfires and climate change are all responsible for the marsupials being at risk, according to the ACF. During a recent Q&A on the Australia Zoo YouTube channel in September, the couple responded to fans asking if they intend to have another child. At the time, Powell said that they "get asked this question a lot" and reminded fans of Irwin's "big journey with endometriosis," calling it an "absolute miracle" that they welcomed their daughter. “We love Grace so much and are reveling in every little moment we have with her, with our little miracle baby,” Powell said, sharing that the couple was content with their life with their only child. “So we are so happy with our little family at three.” Irwin also reminded the pair's followers that the inquiry should not be raised lightly. “And I really appreciate everybody who's curious to see if we will have another child, but I do just want to send it out there that remember to be careful when you ask this question because you never know what's happening in someone's life,” she said. Over the last three years, the Irwin-Powell crew has continued to update fans on their family life — from their latest Halloween with Grace dressing up as a giraffe to the little girl helping her dad build sandcastles on a beach.
