Photo: Presley Ann/Getty Billie Eilish and Finneas had one of their biggest family feuds during the making of Hit Me Hard and Soft. During a recent appearance on Hot Ones Versus, the musician siblings had to ask each other a series of personal questions and choose between telling the truth or eating a wing. After the "Ocean Eyes" singer, 22, asked what the pair's "biggest argument" was while recording their latest album her brother replied: “I put my feet up on the desk a lot and Billie is right there.” Billie Eilish and Finneas Got into a 'Big Fight' While Working on New Album Hit Me Hard and Soft Eilish continued: “Finneas is always, well, not always, a lot of the time, he is a lot of times barefoot or a lot of the times in very filthy shoes. He’ll put them…this is the situation…I’m like right next to him. And my face is right there." “And we filmed so much of the making of the album that almost all of the footage is just his feet. The camera is right there and it’s just his feet!” she said. However, Finneas, 26, turned the conversation to a more serious note as he detailed some friction when Eilish was working on new material for the record. “I think the longest, biggest argument was during a period of transition in maybe both of our lives where we were both just trying to be honest. To give you credit, I was very much like high and mighty about like, 'You're not being honest enough or authentic enough,'" he said. He continued: “And you were coming up with such beautiful melodies and cool cadences. Then, by the time we had cool lyrics, everything else was done. So I learned a lot from being too ego-centric.” Never miss a story — sign up for PEOPLE's free daily newsletter to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories. Axelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic Billie Eilish and Finneas 'Have Never Ever Ever Loved Something More' than New Album Hit Me Hard and Soft In May, Eilish and Finneas also opened up about a "big fight" they had over the "context and subject matter" of Hit Me Hard and Soft in an interview with Apple Music's Zane Lowe. "We'd been writing these fragments of stuff and I felt... I've been proven wrong over and over, but this was the jag I was on that night. I was like, 'Subject-wise, I'm not being led into what you're actually feeling. And I think that there are real guards up,' said the songwriter/producer. Of the tricky songwriting process, Finneas explained, "Oftentimes in your life, you're going through the thing that you're going to write about later. And that was for sure happening to Billie at that point in time where I'd be like, 'What's this about?' And she'd be like, 'Nothing.'" Eventually, he told his sister: "Just say how you feel, and let's write a song about whatever you're scared about feeling." Close
