Morning View was up against Beyoncé‘s self-titled album, Ed Sheeran‘s X, Sam Smith‘s In the Lonely Hour and Pharrell Williams’s Girl. It was recorded largely at Beck’s home. “I’d like to thank my kids for letting me keep them awake a little extra longer,” Beck said after Kanye West jokingly came onto the stage and pretended to reach for the award. Presented by the one and only Prince at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, this is Beck’s second Grammy of the night. (Morning Phase also won for best engineered album, non-classical.) The 57th Annual Grammy Awards, hosted by LL Cool J for the fourth year in a row, are airing live on CBS. Close
