Aspyn Ovard Says She's Looking for Someone Who 'Doesn't Lie,' Won't 'Gaslight' Her, 6 Months After Divorce

Aspyn Ovard knows what she wants in a partner.

The YouTube personality opened up in a since-deleted TikTok about the character traits she's looking for in her next relationship, six months after she filed for divorce from her husband Parker Ferris on April 1.

Ovard, who had been married to Ferris for more than eight years, began the clip by explaining why she decided to create the video. She said her reason for sharing was in response to her followers who had been asking about her interests if she'd "ever be ready to date again."

The mom of three, 28, went right into the characteristics she thought of "off the top of [her head]," noting the first is "someone who doesn't lie." She explained, "I know it seems like an obvious one, but imagine if they lied for like 10 years or something? Imagine how crazy?"

As for the second trait, Ovard said, "I would love someone who has a job. I think that would be really nice — and bonus points if they would actually financially contribute." She continued, "What else? If they didn't accuse me of cheating on them all the time."

Ovard hasn't yet revealed details on why she filed for divorce since doing so on the same day she announced she'd welcomed her third child with Ferris. She explained in August why she opted against discussing the topic in the months that followed.

"You see how I considered my children and how it would affect them to have their family's personal information shared all over the Internet? Very smart, very good mom," she said at the time while holding her newborn in the video.

While Ovard did not share additional details on the divorce in that August video, she said she would "continue to stay unbothered and not share anything to protect my peace." Meanwhile, commenters are now speculating that her latest TikTok is a subtle hint at the reasons that led to her split.

In the TikTok posted on Oct. 6, Ovard added that she was looking for someone "who carries their fair share of the mental load" in life. She listed "raising kids and running a household" as examples. "If I didn't have to do almost all of that myself, like if they wanted to contribute," she clarified.

Ovard said it would be "super cool" if her next relationship involved someone who "didn't gaslight" her, rather "better" her life instead. Someone who is "trying to improve their life and eat healthy, be active, work on themselves and really bring something to the table" are a few of her other interests.

"I don't know, I feel like my bar is kind of low," the mom influencer continued. "Those are just again, off the top of my head ... a couple random little things that I thought of." She concluded, "Crossing my fingers for next time."

Ferris and Ovard married when they were 19 and 20 years old, respectively. The two tied the knot in St. George, Utah, in an outdoor ceremony in 2015.

On April 1, court documents obtained by PEOPLE revealed that Ovard filed for divorce in Salt Lake City, Utah. On that same day, the lifestyle content creator announced the birth of her third child with Ferris in a video shared to her Instagram and TikTok pages.

While Ovard has kept her reasoning for the divorce private, she opened up about her relationship status when speaking on the Pretty Basic Podcast in September. She also reiterated the importance of prioritizing her children's privacy.

"In terms of a relationship status, it's weird for me to say 'I'm single' because I have not said that since I was 17 years old," she said on the show. "So really I've never even been single as an adult ever ... so it's a different era that I'm going into," she revealed.
