Andrea Bocelli — and his son Matteo — love an afterparty.

Reflecting on his three-day concert held in July at Tuscany’s Teatro del Silenzio, which celebrated his 30-year career in music, the Italian tenor revealed new details to PEOPLE about the fun that happened behind-the-scenes.

"Everybody was extremely involved and emotionally compelled," Bocelli, 66, tells PEOPLE of the concert, which included several of his celebrity friends including  Ed SheeranShania TwainJon Batiste, Johnny DeppRussell CroweSofia VergaraDavid FosterChristian NodalSofia Carson, Laura Pausini, Tiziano Ferro, Zucchero, Giorgia, as well as his children Matteo and Virginia

"At the end of every night, we organized a party in the backstage," he continues. "At the end of the second concert... Ed Sheeran, Johnny Depp and Matteo, they all went to my house in Lajatico where I was born and raised."

Bocelli concludes, "They made pasta together. They drank some wine, I'm sure, and they were partying until 6 a.m.. Just to give you an idea on the magic atmosphere that was there during those nights."

To Bocelli, this was "the biggest achievement of everything else."

At the concert, Sheeran, 33, and Bocelli performed their duet "Perfect Symphony." Meanwhile, Depp, 61, took the stage with Bocelli for a performance of "En Aranjuez Con Tu Amo." With Matteo, 27, Bocelli performed "Fall on Me," "If I Knew" and "Time to Say Goodbye."

Over the course of those three days, Bocelli soaked in every moment and was so filled with gratitude he became emotional.

"I am an ex-countryside boy and I'm not easy to be moved. I don't get emotional so easily," he says. "However, at the same time, I'm more so used to the fact that I shouldn't be taking anything for granted."

"So everything that was happening in that fantastic backdrop of the Teatro del Silenzio, which is a piece of a world where I was born and raised, everything would make me feel grateful, grateful to everybody who was there and grateful to the good Lord for the big gift that I was given," he adds.

Because of this experience, Bocelli hopes that he used his "voice in a proper way during my career."

The three-day event was documented and has become a concert film titled Andrea Bocelli 30: The Celebration produced by Mercury Studios, Maverick, Impact Productions, and CITYSOUND & Events. Grammy-nominee and Emmy Award-winner Sam Wrench directed the production.

"It's a real celebration of Andrea and everything that he encompasses. That being Italy, that being Tuscany, that being amazing collaborations and crossovers and surprises," Wrench tells PEOPLE. "It's a real sense of the breadth that Andrea has as an artist."

The concert film will be released globally in theaters by Fathom on Nov. 8.
