The Parks & Recreation alum and the journalist are enjoying spending time together, a source exclusively tells PEOPLE. The pair started dating earlier this summer. ‘Parks and Recreation’ Cast: Where Are They Now? After leaving his position as deputy editor of The New York Times Magazine, Lovell made the transition into podcasting and currently works as executive editor at Pineapple Street Studios. According to the company's website, he's edited many of the studios' original podcasts like Missing Richard Simmons, Winds of Change and 9/12. Poehler's rep did not respond to PEOPLE's request for comment. Like Lovell, Poehler, 53, is no stranger to the podcasting universe. In Sept. 2023, the Saturday Night Live alum told PEOPLE she was partnering with her longtime friend Liz Cackowski and broadcasting company Audacy to release a scripted comedy podcast series titled, Say More with Dr? In Say More, Poehler starred as “world-class therapist and life coach” Dr. Sheila, who offers questionable couples advice and counsel on all things relationships. “Podcasts are a big part of my life and we wanted to do an homage to all the kinds of different podcasts we listen to,” she told PEOPLE at the time. "The coolest thing about a podcast is it's a really intimate medium. You're often feeling like the person is talking to you and it feels very personal. So I just think it's a really fun landscape and expands your options and opportunities for being funny.” It was a winning summer for Poehler for another reason as well: she starred in Inside Out 2, the Disney-Pixar animated film that took over the global box office, passing the $1 billion mark in less than three weeks. The film features the voices of Poehler as Joy, Phyllis Smith as Sadness, Tony Hale as Fear, Maya Hawke as new emotion Anxiety and more. Poehler shares sons Archie, 15, and Abel, 14, with ex-husband Will Arnett. They divorced in 2016. Close
