Last Friday we were proud to support Asian Family Services (AFS) at their annual Asian Hauora Day, an event dedicated to enhancing wellness and health awareness within Auckland's Asian communities. Our team enjoyed an engaging day, with many attendees participating in our self-screening kiosks. A special thanks to our expert Audiologists Ji Hee Hong and Sahil Mehra, for providing valuable insights into hearing health. It was a fulfilling opportunity to connect with the community and promote healthier lives together! 💜

This Mental Health Awareness Week, we are proud to recognize and support the incredible work of the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand. This year's theme, "Community is what we create together," has been a meaningful reminder for us to reflect on the power of connection and gratitude within our team. At Triton, we’ve created a "Hear the Good" gratitude wall, where employees across our business have shared what they are grateful for. It’s been inspiring to see so many uplifting messages that highlight the strength and support we have within our community. We’ve also had some fun, mindful moments with our colouring competition, and provided access to TELUS Health webinars, giving our team tools and resources to support their mental well-being. Together, we continue to foster a workplace where everyone feels valued and supported, and we’re excited to keep building on this foundation of community and care. 💜 #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek #HearTheGood #Wellbeing #Gratitude #CommunityMatters #TELUSHealth

Caring for the mental health of our teams At Triton Hearing, we believe that a thriving workplace begins with a commitment to the well-being of our people. We recognize that mental health is just as important as physical health and we're proud to have enabled over 35 of our People Leaders to complete the St John Mental Health First Aid course. The course has helped individuals build their own mental fitness as well as being able to assist others. The course covers: • Understanding the relationship between mental health and distress • Understanding ways to manage their own mental health • Know and use the “Listen to your HEAD” Action Plan in a non-crisis situation • Identify when a person may be experiencing a mental health crisis • Identify agencies who can help and /or know how to get immediate assistance if necessary • Understanding the importance of self-care “I found the course provided very practical guidance on how to approach these conversations in the workplace and demystified common misconceptions about how to discuss mental health. After completing the course I feel better equipped to spot the early signs of mental health struggles so I can confidently support my colleagues.” Megan Corry - Region Manager By offering our team members the opportunity to complete this course, we aim to build a network of confident and compassionate workplace first aiders who can spot the early signals of mental health struggles, ensuring timely and effective support for their colleagues. This proactive approach not only enhances the overall well-being of our team but also reinforces our commitment to creating a resilient and empathetic workplace culture.
