People who missed the Audiology Australia ® Online Conference in October can still register to listen to recordings and receive CPD up to 19 January 2025. The organisation said the recent national online conference which ran over two half days on 24 and 25 October 2024 was a hit. Audiology Australia ® (AudA) has pulled off a major coup with a successful bid to host the world’s biggest #audiology and #HearingHealth event, the 39th WCA - World Congress of Audiology (WCA), in Sydney in 2030. The International Society of Audiology (ISA) named Sydney as the host city on 24 October after AudA CEO Ms Leanne Emerson travelled to the 36th WCA in Paris in September to make the bid alongside AudA president, Dr Barbra Timmer.

The selection for the international event, the world’s biggest for audiology and hearing health, was confirmed overnight by the International Society of Audiology. Audiology Australia CEO Leanne Emerson said she is thrilled for the opportunity to showcase Australia’s world-class audiology research, innovation and clinical audiology program to the region. “We’re ready to welcome the world to Australia in 2030 and it doesn’t get better than Sydney,” Ms Emerson said.
