Terrific article from SISTRIX about the AI vs SEO "duel" in web search. I agree with the findings: that Google will be able to defend its market share against emerging search engine competitors, and that demonstrating your expertise and becoming a recognisable brand should be the dominant web strategy. #seo #googleai #aio

Interesting SEL article - including useful contextual information - about how Google is increasingly behaving like a category page for e-commerce stores. The author recommends focusing on SEO for products, including targeting long-tail keywords, and prioritising listing on Google Merchant Centre. We agree! https://lnkd.in/gfKY2dua Seen via Brodie Clark on X. #ecommerce #seo

Another insightful piece of content from leading SEO expert Marie Haynes. Basically she's explaining why big brands are dominating Google search results even though they may not have content that is helpful - or as helpful as smaller sites. She thinks that will change as Google's helpful content system learns, especially with the aid of advanced AI such as Gemini 1.5. Longish article, well worth reading. #helpfulcontent #seo #googlesearch

Very interesting piece of work by Cyrus S. What jumps out for me from this as 3 basic "winning" approaches for creating helpful website content: § Content that demonstrates personal experience (including using personal pronouns). § Use original images. § Add prominent links to contact information including social media. Cyrus discusses the "losing" (potentially unhelpful) content factors as well in the article. #helpfulcontent #googlealgorithm #googleupdates

The title of this Gartner press release speaks for itself. As search marketing loses market share to AI chatbots and other virtual agents, search engine algorithms will further value the authenticity and quality of content to offset the sheer amount of AI-generated content. Alan Antin, vice president analyst at Gartner: "Companies will need to focus on producing unique content that is useful to customers and prospective customers. Content should continue to demonstrate search quality-rater elements such as expertise, experience, authoritativeness and trustworthiness.” #aiseo #futureofsearch #eeat
