  • Last week, our clinical team had the privilege of attending New Zealand’s inaugural International Learning Collaborative (ILC) Fundamentals of Care Leadership and Mentoring Programme (LAMP). This programme brings together healthcare professionals from across New Zealand to focus on enhancing the fundamentals of care, patient safety, and leadership. We were honoured to join a passionate and diverse group of healthcare professionals, including nurses and allied health experts from Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, primary care, acute care, and the mental health sector. Together, we collaborated on developing program logics aimed at improving fundamental care for patients and their whānau, with a particular focus on compassion and empathy in care delivery. This event was especially significant as Oceania adopted the Fundamentals of Care framework in May this year, and we are proud to be at the forefront of implementing this important initiative in the aged care sector. Thank you to the ILC for providing this incredible learning opportunity. We look forward to continuing to lead the way in advancing high-quality, fundamental compassionate care for all.

  • Happy Recycling Week! To kick off this year’s Recycling Week, members of our Operations and Sustainability teams volunteered at Fair Food NZ for an impactful afternoon of food rescue. Together, they sorted through three tonnes of donated food, ensuring it reaches communities in need or is repurposed for baking and composting. This week, our Oceania teams and residents will participate in various initiatives to acknowledge Recycling Week, including creating thermal blankets for the Chip Packet Project, collecting and recycling old mobile phones, and donating unwanted clothing to support local communities. If you’d like to participate in Recycling Week activities, check out the link here: https://lnkd.in/gMdZEhp6.
