We're looking forward to working with the kiwiSaaS Community to bring this new industry-led chapter to life! 🚀 Graeme Muller Richard Cotman Bridget Snelling Aaron Ward Kirsti Grant Serge van Dam Lisa McDonald Lee Timutimu David Clearwater Edwin Lim Tim Nichols Michael Murphy Roger Ford Scotty Freeman
kiwiSaaS is entering an exciting new chapter as an industry-led community enabled by NZTech, with kiwiSaaS becoming a member-driven network that will continue to empower SaaS businesses and champion their success on the global stage. From 2021-2024, the kiwiSaaS Community successfully connected nearly 4,000 SaaS professionals across Aotearoa, fostering invaluable knowledge exchange and accelerating the growth of New Zealand's SaaS sector. Through this initiative, which was funded by government until June 2024, the community was enabled to increase collaboration and scale up the sector's global impact. A KiwiSaaS Establishment Board will guide the transition of the community from a government-led initiative to an industry-driven, member-supported network. Its role is to shape the community’s purpose, strategic goals, and work plan, while defining the value we deliver to members and building a sustainable membership base. 💡 If you're already a kiwiSaaS community member, you'll probably have received an email today - click on the link the email if you want to to opt-in to receiving news about next steps! 👍 If you're not yet a member, but want to support or join, sign up to receive future updates : https://lnkd.in/gbJYzx4m

Leaning into the power of IoT! Watercare Services Limited is rolling out Smart Metering across nearly 500,000 domestic and commercial connections in Auckland This could be the largest IoT rollout in Australasia. Check out the RFI here: https://lnkd.in/gTCE46CA They’re also seeking partners to install and maintain 5,000 sensors across Auckland’s sewer system! That’s a huge number of IoT connections, delivering a wealth of actionable data. Why does this matter? Smart water meters help consumers save water - studies show reductions of 8-53% Leaking pipes already cost New Zealand ratepayers and customers thousands of dollars every year. In the UK smart meters are estimated to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 0.5%. The benefits are clear. As far back as 2017, the NZ IoT Alliance has been championing the massive potential of smart meters and IoT sensors. Our Accelerating a Connected New Zealand report highlighted that better use of IoT technology could unlock billions – YES, BILLIONS - in economic growth and productivity. It’s exciting to see what we hope will be the first of many large scale IoT rollouts in Aotearoa. #techforgood #nztech Graeme Muller Daniel Jr. Naranjilla Jenna Whitman Steven Dirven (PhD) Kriv Naicker Theresa Corballis Malcolm Fraser Edwin Lim Grace de Leon Jonny Breen Chris Morris Sandra Laws
