"Brand ROI is impossible to measure" Unless you use THESE 8 metrics 👇 ♻️ The "Brand Growth Loop" Track these 8 metrics: 1️⃣ Brand Mentions When people mention your brand naturally on social/web Not paid. Not prompted. Just organic discussion. (This shows your brand is becoming part of the conversation) 2️⃣ "Alternative To" Pages Count how many companies list themselves as "alternatives to you" When competitors compare to you, you're becoming a known player (It means you're setting the standard in your space) 3️⃣ Comparison Mentions Track who you're being compared against 2-way = you vs one competitor 3-way = you're in the consideration set 4-way = you're a major market player (More comparisons = stronger market position) 4️⃣ Brand Terms Growth Monitor how search volume for your brand grows Track what terms people pair with your brand Watch which features/benefits they associate with you (Shows how brand awareness is growing) 5️⃣ Pipeline Impact Measure how many deals started from brand searches Track conversion rates from brand-aware leads Compare payback period and LTV vs non-brand channels (Proves brand building drives real business) 6️⃣ Review Velocity Count new reviews on G2, Capterra weekly Monitor sentiment trends over time Track which features customers praise most (Shows real customer advocacy) 7️⃣ Sales Conversations Use Gong to track how prospects mention you Listen for "I saw your content on..." Note which brand touchpoints influenced them (Proves brand impact on sales) 8️⃣ Direct Traffic People typing your URL directly Not coming from ads or search Growing across different regions (The ultimate "they know who we are" signal) Brand building needs all three of these: 1. Clear activities that drive value 2. Specific metrics for each activity 3. Constant experimentation 📌 Remember: Brand isn't just about awareness. It's a growth loop you can influence. Building bespoke brands for LinkedIn’s leaders

If you struggle with content creation... This is for you! 💜 It's funny when people call me: "Graphic Designer" I've only opened Photoshop maybe 3x. → I hated it Not because it's a bad tool. But because it's the wrong tool (for me). I always learn by doing. And that's why Canva is perfect: ✓ It's intuitive ✓ It's efficient ✓ It's dynamic So here are some of my secrets: (Save this for your next post) 1. How to erase elements 2. How to outline any picture 3. How to add dynamic textures 4. How to create cool 3D mockups 5. How to use gradients on your font Creating awesome content is easier than ever. And Canva is the best place to begin. P.S. Team Mario or Team Luigi? 🍄

🧠 How does organisational structure impact software design? And will AI Agents behave the same way? This intriguing illustration sheds light on the dramatised organisational structures of Amazon, Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Apple, and Oracle, perfectly echoing 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘄𝗮𝘆'𝘀 𝗟𝗮𝘄: "𝗦𝗼𝗳𝘁𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝘁." 🤖 This concept could become a critical hyperparameter in AI agent design, shaping their interactions and problem-solving approaches. Conway's Law appears to be an emergent property of complex systems, but regardless, the fact that LLMs are trained on human decision-making makes it increasingly likely that Agents will emulate these same dynamics. Is the Agentic hype over, or are we yet to see their full potential? [Credit (image): Manu Cornet]

    Founder of Because of Marketing

Brand activations are strategically effective Not only for awareness and consumer engagement but for growth, building community hype, soft product launches, immediate feedback and differentiation. Currently in Cannes, we’re seeing activations from Pinterest, Snapchat and Wall Street Journal to Netflix’s ‘N’ rooftop, showing that there is opportunity for all brands to get involved with these experiences as part of their overall marketing strategy. Consumers crave connection and experiences. After all, you want your brand to leave a positive impact on your consumer! At the beginning of the year, I co-wrote a macro trends report, discussing key trends brands should consider in 2024. One trend was investing in the “The Power of Playfulness” and 6 months later, I still believe it to be true. Whether you’re launching a pop up store, hosting a small community event, kiosk, airstream, in-store takeover or creating a brand experience at a sports event of music festival, here’s a few additional points on how you can make them effective & playful: - Keep marketing ideas simple, less is more. - Consider the right location, is it in a high traffic area? - Could you partner with other brands who share similar values? - Lean into your distinct assets, use one bold colour to make an impact. - Ensure your consumer leaves with something that is associated with your brand! What’s next for brand activations? As we approach summer, I’m seeing lots of ice cream pop ups! If you’re interested in learning about brand experiences, my business, Because of Marketing, is hosting their first in person event on July 11th! We will be covering the topic of brand experiences from a panel of industry professionals 🤎 Tickets are on sale now: https://lnkd.in/e_VU37Xn

𝐈𝐬 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐚𝐝𝐬? Organic and paid marketing each have their own 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬. Both are distinct methods of marketing, and the choice between them depends on a company's goals and financial resources. 𝐎𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠, such as SEO and content marketing, builds long-term relationships and trust, but it takes time to see results. 𝐏𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠, including PPC and social media ads, provides immediate visibility and quick results, but requires a financial investment. After a lot of analysis and research, I've found that using both 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐞𝐬 together works best. If you only focus on organic methods, it takes a long time to reach your audience and find the right people. Paid ads can help you reach the right audience quickly, understand their needs, and offer better services to your clients. #MarketingAnalytics #DataDriven #BusinessIntelligence #DigitalMarketing #MarketingStrategy #AnalyticsPlatform #CustomerInsights

Building bespoke brands for LinkedIn’s leaders

Designing content for LinkedIn is easy (if you know these simple tricks) I get asked all the time if I use ✗ Figma ✗ Illustrator ✗ Photoshop None of them. I'm 100% Canva. Why? Because it's ✓ Fast ✓ Easy ✓ Cheap So, here's what's inside (Part 3): 1. How to create your brand kit 2. How to add grids to your designs 3. How to change colours on elements 4. How to use the lift effect on your fonts 5. How to turn normal lines into dotted lines Please stop overcomplicating the process. You don't need to study graphic design. You don't need to learn photoshop. You don't need to spend hours. You just need to commit 🤝 P.S. I have added Part 1 & 2 in the comments
