FTTX ODN Solution Introduction PON access system should be an all-optical solution in response to the continuously growing bandwidth requirements in the last-mile (access) domain. PON-based access network follows the trend of delivery of triple-play services to end subscribers, aggregating three types of services over a single delivery platform. This in turns is the next step in the evolution of the core networks to IP-based NGN. In order to build the new generation of optical access networks, this solution draws on the technologies of different maturity extents such as EPON, GPON, Ethernet and xDSL, ranging from local exchange devices of various capacities to serialized user-side devices. It can be deployed in various application scenarios, such as FTTC, FTTB, FTTO and FTTH, enabling operators to deliver services in a simple and straightforward manner, providing cost-effective  high-bandwidth and multi-service support capabilities. 📡 Dutch operators KPN, Odido Nederland, and VodafoneZiggo have acquired midband #5G spectrum in a recent national auction. Minister Micky Adriaansens announced that the new 3.5 GHz frequencies can start being used from July 2024, providing faster mobile communication! 📈 The auction raised a total of €174.4 million. Each operator gained 100 MHz of spectrum, improving network capacity and offering higher data speeds improving the 5G experience in the Netherlands. ⚡ With these new frequencies, Dutch operators are well-prepared to deliver faster and more reliable mobile communication. KPN has already announced that the new spectrum will enhance network capacity and throughput, allowing their customers to experience the next phase of 5G. Odido Nederland mentioned that over half of its existing 5G sites can immediately utilise the new frequencies, promising an excellent network experience. VodafoneZiggo indicated that the new spectrum will further strengthen its mobile services and support future innovation. 📶 With the introduction of the new spectrum, new specialised equipment and processes will be introduced, making the Mobile Service even more complex. In addition to three service verticals (eMBB, uRLLC, mMTC) in the early 5G Network, two more service verticals (or Network Slices in the right context) are added in later releases- 𝑽2𝑿- "Vehicle-to-everything (V2X)" was introduced in R16 and it denotes the seamless exchange of data among various transportation elements and traffic-related sensors, characterized by high bandwidth, low latency, and utmost reliability. The forthcoming 5G mobile networks will play a pivotal role in furnishing connectivity for both vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) communications. 𝑯𝑴𝑻𝑪 - HMTC, or High-Performance Machine Type Communication, was introduced in R17 and it represents a category of 5G networks enabling efficient communication between machines and the network. Within the framework of 5G, networks are engineered to accommodate diverse needs, such as machine-type communications, throughput, latency, availability, and high-performance communications.
